How it works

From your postcode to a switched-on roof. Six clear steps.

Most installs take 6 to 8 weeks from your first call to the day we switch you on. Here's what happens, in order, with no surprises.

01Today

Book a 30-minute call

Tell us your postcode and we'll book a short call. On the call we talk through your roof, your bills, and what a system could look like. Thirty minutes, by video or phone, your choice.

We use satellite imagery to look at your roof during the call so you can see what we're seeing. We answer your questions honestly. If solar isn't right for your home, we'll say so.

What we need from you

  • Your postcode
  • A rough idea of your monthly bill

Your personalised quote

You'll get a written quote by email. Real numbers, not a brochure. Recommended system size, expected annual generation, expected annual savings, payback period, total price. Everything on one page.

The quote is valid for 30 days. If you have questions, reply to the email. Your named project lead is on it. When you're ready, you sign electronically.

What we need from you

  • A desire to save on your energy bills

Get ready for the benefits

You've signed. Now you start looking forward to lower bills, cleaner energy and a smarter home. We handle the design, ordering and grid approval in the background. You don't need to do anything.

There's no in-person survey. The design was locked in on your quote call using 3D survey technology, so we already have everything we need to get your install moving. Your named project lead keeps you posted along the way.

What we need from you

  • Nothing. Sit tight.

Final design and DNO

We finalise the design, order your equipment, and apply to your DNO (the local grid network) for permission to connect. For most homes this is automatic. For larger systems it can take 3 to 6 weeks.

You don't need to do anything during this stage. We'll email you when DNO permission is granted and book in your install date.

Installation

Your MCS-certified install team arrives at 8am. Most installs are finished in a single day for a typical 3-bed home. Larger systems or battery additions can take two days.

You don't need to be home for the whole install, but someone needs to give us access at the start and end. We tidy as we go. We brief you on the inverter and the monitoring app before we leave.

What we need from you

  • Access on the install day(s)
  • A safe spot to park the van

Switch on and handover

We commission the system, register it with MCS, hand you the paperwork, and walk you through the monitoring app. You can see your generation, your usage, and your export on your phone from day one.

We commission the system, register it with MCS, hand over the paperwork (including the MCS certificate you'll need to apply for SEG with your energy supplier), and walk you through the monitoring app. We're your first point of contact for the next 25 years if anything ever needs attention.
